Avoiding Frivolous Lawsuits and PAGA Claims Against Your Business

It is an employer's worst nightmare. A lawyer shows up and demands to see all your internal payroll records to "review to see if you broke any labor laws." Worse, under a new California law you have to give them all your records and they can sue you in their personal capacity on behalf of the California Attorney General! Of course, for a hefty settlement to their law firm they will agree to drop the case.
Reform California convenes monthly issue briefings for business leaders to alert them to emerging threats to the business climate in our state. This month's briefing addresses frivolous and costly lawsuits being filed against businesses across the California under the predatory Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) Law.
Find out what PAGA is, what you need to do to avoid a PAGA claim, and how we are fighting to repeal this costly mandate.  The event is free but you must RSVP and be approved for attendance.
