Everyone has a story to share. We want to hear yours!

The SCCSD Communications & Community Engagement department welcomes your ideas for stories that reflect news about the people, events, activities, and developments in your class, your school, and our District. Your input will inform our parents, community, voters, and legislators of what we do and do well. Sharing our stories can help educate people on what quality, free, public education looks like today.

1. Guest Lecturers - Do you have an individual, group, or organization that is coming to enrich your class? If so, please state who is coming, when they will be here, and what they will be focusing on with the students.

2. Innovations - Whether you are using technology or a new way of teaching, share some examples of how you are being innovative in the classroom. This can be a new way of doing things, something you may be trying for the year, or it could be a unit you are just exploring.

3. Student Honors - Celebrating student success is important. We have very talented students we should recognize. If you know of a student receiving an honor from the school or an outside organization, please share who the student is, what the award is for, and when the award is being given.

4. Field Trips - What are your plans for exploring our community and businesses for learning purposes?

5. Professional Development - What are you doing to enhance your work? If you are learning about something innovative or unique that can enhance the work you do in the District, we want to know.

6. Other - Because sometimes, great work can't be categorized. What is something that should be celebrated? Consider the things we, as adults, never encountered in our K-12 schooling and help us share those stories.
