Flyer Distribution Application Board Policy 1001.80-E

Any non-profit or not-for-profit organization/agency wishing to distribute non-district written material must first submit for approval an application and a copy of the material to the Office of Communications. Please allow ample time for your application to be processed.
All materials submitted for approval must contain the following statement in legible, bold print, in a conspicuous location on the materials: “THIS MATERIAL IS NEITHER ENDORSED NOR SPONSORED BY THE SIOUX CITY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT.” The flyer must contain the organization's or agency's name, address, and phone number in a conspicuous location.
The flyer must be informational in nature and appropriate for students. The flyer purpose (content) must relate to an event or activity specifically for school-age children.
Flyers for fundraisers will only be approved if the fundraiser directly benefits school-age children.
The District does not distribute flyers from for-profit organizations.

Appropriate schools will be notified if flyer is approved for distribution. Materials without such approval may not be distributed.

Delivery Instructions for Approved Flyers

When preparing flyers for distribution, they must be bundled in groups of 25 separated by rubber bands and packaged in boxes clearly marked for the school. Boxes must be securely sealed.
Boxes may be delivered directly to the desired school or to the District's Operation & Maintenance building located at 2620 28th Street. The Operations & Maintenance staff will then deliver to the desired school during its normally scheduled route. This route does not visit every school on one day. If selecting this option for delivery, you must allow for two weeks from desired delivery date.
