First rounds - FRIDAY 26th Jan (from 18H00)
Finals night - MONDAY 29th Jan
The closing date is Friday 12th January
All - Many of you will know how popular this event it and is always oversubscribed and we had to, unfortunately, turn people away. The draw will be limited to 64 players and places will be decided by a ballot if over-subscribed.
Scoring will be traditional Hand In Hand Out to 9 (yes that's how we like it) for all matches and referees are only used for the Finals on Monday (so the audience knows what the score is)
Following previous years welcomed change, we will be playing the Open first rounds on Friday and potentially 3 matches on Saturday rather than Sunday along with playing times that should allow most of you to watch additional matches. In addition this year all winners and runners-up need to be present for the awards evening on Monday evening.Brief History and Info:
- Has been held annually since 1922
- Official British Amateur (and consequently only open to Amateur players)
- Not a graded tournament (first-round losers in the Amateur & Over 35s will be offered two matches )
- The finals of all the age groups are held on Monday evening and your £30 entry includes access to the RAC / Queens all week end + the marvellous roast Buffet main course Dinner at the RAC.

In an effort to minimise players from withdrawing at late notice (often with some sore toe excuse), we now use a pay on entry system. [anyone who doesn’t do this will not be entered in the event]. In an effort to be fair please see our policy on refunds.
