Volunteer of the Year Award “Ken Ottman Award”

Submission Deadline June 30th
History: The Ken Ottman Award was established in 2007 to honor him and to recognize his long and distinguished service as a TREE Fund Trustee. Ken Ottman volunteered countless hours to ensure that resources were available for the mission of the TREE Fund: We support sustainable communities and environmental stewardship by funding research, scholarships and education programs essential to the discovery and dissemination of new knowledge in the fields of arboriculture and urban forestry.

Ken received the first TREE Fund Volunteer Award, a pewter and brass beer stein with a raised TREE Fund logo, engraved with his name and the year awarded. As the namesake of the award, Ken has a plaque which will hold all of the awardees’ names on brass plates, with its duplicate displayed in the TREE Fund office. Each Ken Ottman Award winner will receive the specially designed stein with their name and the year engraved on it. A small brass plate with the awardee’s name will be added each year to the plaques maintained at the TREE Fund office and in Ken’s possession.

Please use the online form to nominate an individual who, in your mind, stands out in service to the TREE Fund. Deadline to submit a nomination is June 30th.
