StudyAway Student Withdrawal
Processing Request Form

Upon receiving a request in writing from a StudyAway participant requesting to withdraw from the program, the Program Director completes the following steps:

  • Completes the form below;
  • Withdraws the student from the program in the StudyAway Portal;
  • Notifies student to drop (or withdraw) from both the academic and SABD/FSTY courses in Athena (prior to the end of Add/Drop and/or withdrawal deadlines available here;
  • Notifies student of the percentage of the Program Fee and the exact amount to be charged to the student based on the UGA StudyAway Program Fee Refund Policy (25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the program fee; deposit is non-refundable).

Once these steps are completed, the student will receive a communication from the StudyAway office informing of them of their right to appeal the charges.
