UGA does not operate faculty-led study abroad programs, reciprocal exchanges, independent research, nor internship programs in countries/areas under a Travel Advisory Level 3/4 issued by the U.S. Department of State. Generally, independent study, research, or internships for UGA resident credit in Travel Advisory Level 3/4 countries/areas is not permitted for undergraduates.
The Study Abroad Risk Advisory Committee cannot sanction UGA direct credit-bearing international activities for undergraduate students in Travel Advisory Level 3/4 locations.
This form should be used for faculty to petition for their graduate-level study abroad program involving multiple students to run in a country/area under a Travel Advisory Level 3/4.
This form should not be submitted for an individual student experience abroad.
