The University of Georgia, The University of New Orleans and its INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL in Innsbruck, Austria believe strongly that the European educational experience should be made available to as many qualified students as possible. To this end, a limited number of Ambassador Awards will be made available to UGA undergraduate students who exhibit high academic achievement, can clearly demonstrate financial need and whose academic plans would benefit most from this experience.
Recipients will be designated as UNO-Innsbruck Ambassadors. Once in Innsbruck, they will be expected to work occasionally with the staff along with taking a regular academic load. Stipends will be up to $3,000 and will be applied directly toward tuition and fee costs of the program. In no case will money be given directly to the recipient of the award. It is also strongly recommended to join the UGA Education Abroad Ambassador group upon return, which is run through the Office of Global Engagement at UGA and in which students who have studied abroad volunteer to talk with interested students about their education abroad experience. For more information about the Education Abroad Ambassadors, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
We strongly recommend that you apply to the UNO-INNSBRUCK SUMMER SCHOOL 2019 and start your appliction on the UGA StudyAway Portal before applying for the Ambassador Award. Receiving the award does not signify that you are or will be automatically accepted into the UNO-INNSBRUCK program.
The criteria for the UNO-INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL 2019 Ambassador Awards are stated on the next page. Applicants must follow the guidelines, meet the stated deadlines, and be certain that all supporting materials are submitted on time. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
