Please provide information in the comments field below on the applicant’s motivation; initiative; intellectual curiosity and purpose; interest in problem solving; ability to work independently; potential for growth; special talents; enthusiasm; and the ability to function responsibly in an adult setting, handle uncertainty, and – as one 1990 ASE apprentice put it – the ability to “deal with the grunge work.” If the applicant has lower grades or test scores than might be expected for a competitive program of this sort; we are interested in any mitigating circumstances of which you are aware.
